Home and property owners everywhere have been seeing media coverage of how boilers can better serve the environment, but it’s still a confusing subject for those that are looking to heat their water and households in a positive, cost-effective way.
As reported by phamnews.co.uk, The Sustainable Homes and Buildings Coalition, which consists of Worcester Bosch, NatWest, British Gas and Shelter, has now released its first comprehensive report titled ‘Home is where the Heat is’. The report is aimed at consumers and offers clear detail on how the UK can decarbonise homes and buildings, providing a better understanding of the technology options available to them.

We are your local and well-trusted plumbing team that can help with a wide variety of plumbing issues, from small leaks and repairs all the way to new boilers and bathroom refurbishments. We serve the East Midlands including Loughborough, Shepshed, Hathern, Kegworth, and Leicester.
The report explains that each customer journey will be different, partly because of the diversity of the country’s building stock. It lays out six distinct customer pathways to help every household identify with their particular journey.
Carl Arntzen, CEO of Worcester Bosch, comments: “There is no silver bullet to reach net zero emissions from home and building heating, it instead requires a mix of technologies working together. For homeowners, it is vital to have an understanding of what would work for their property and what support they can receive.
“This is why we are fully in support of the Coalition and its first report. We believe it is a firm step towards educating and empowering consumers and installers to make greener choices when it comes to their home heating. We look forward to continuing our work with our Coalition partners as we move towards a sustainable future.”
